In the 1990s, the first international freight train departed from Lianyungang Port in Jiangsu Province, marking the official opening and operation of the New Eurasian Land Bridge. The New Eurasian Land Bridge refers to an international railway mainline that stretches from Lianyungang in China to Rotterdam in the Netherlands, with a total length of 10,900 kilometers.

In recent years, with the continuous expansion of scale and steady improvement in quality, the CRE train has become an important carrier for deepening practical cooperation among countries in Asia and Europe. It has provided strong transportation support for the economic and social development of countries along the route, as well as for maintaining the security and stability of international supply chains and industrial chains. From January to November this year, the CRE train (Lianyungang) has launched 847 trains, a YoY increase of 12.6%.
