Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High Speed Railway Begins Trial Operation: People's Daily

According to CR-Shanghai, on November 23, the first trial operation train, G55505, departed from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and headed toward Huzhou Railway Station along the newly constructed Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High Speed Railway from Shanghai to Huzhou, Zhejiang via Suzhou, Jiangsu. The train conducted operational diagram parameter tests, marking the start of the trial operation phase and bringing the line closer to its official opening. Construction of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High Speed Railway began in June 2020, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Once operational, the line will further optimize the layout of the Shanghai railway hub, enhance the regional rail network, and greatly facilitate travel for people along the route.
